LANETTE WARE-BUSHFIELD, CEO
Veteran Actor/Published Writer/Executive Producer and Coach
Lanette Ware‑Bushfield is a 2025 RBC Women of Influence nominee and the multi‑award‑winning founder and CEO of A WWB Production, Inc., where she leads a slate of projects centered on non‑monolithic narratives and inclusive global storytelling. Her work reflects a long‑standing commitment to representation and craft. In 2025, she received Best Executive Producer honours from both the Black Actors and Film Guild of Canada (BAFGC) and the International Black Diversity Film Festival (IBDFF). That same year, she was published in two books and her short film Now What? earned Best Screenplay recognition, along with the Best Short Screenplay Award at the 2025 Madrid Short Film Festival.
Lanette is also a TIFF Share Her Journey / Donette Chin‑Loy Chang Fellow, acknowledged for her leadership and her ongoing work to advance equity in the screen industries.
A seasoned actor and Lifetime Member of The Actors Studio (NYC/LA), Lanette brings decades of performance and story development experience to her producing and writing practice. She is affiliated with CMPA, the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television, SAG, AFTRA, AEA, ACTRA, and UBCP.
Her short play Filters was featured in Women At Plays 6 at Toronto’s Sandcastle Theatre, and her poetry appears in the 2025 anthologies TPOT and Unfulfilled Dreams. She holds a BA in Drama from the London Academy, with additional training from Toronto Film School and MaRS Discovery District.
Lanette is currently filming Silver Stars, a five‑part docuseries profiling twelve trailblazing women across STEM, sports, and the arts. The project has already drawn strong regional attention, with coverage including “Community Angel Lanette Ware‑Bushfield Spearheads Bold Cultural Project,” “Silver Stars Gala Shines Bright in Aurora, Celebrating Women Who Paved the Way,” “York Region Filmmaker Hosts Gala for Docuseries Celebrating Women Leaders,” and “Dreams Truly Matter: Aurora Docuseries Producer Celebrating 12 Women Trailblazers.” The series is quickly becoming recognized as a meaningful cultural record and a celebration of intergenerational leadership.
Through Silver Stars and her broader body of work, Lanette continues to build stories that resonate across communities and contribute to a more inclusive screen landscape.
